Under front access toe panel. Remove doors on both sides and remove screws, obviously unplug unit and your valve will be right there between both ovens.

Viking oven broiler will not ignite

Your gas valve would be my first guess. Is this broiler (and bake ) lit with a glow coil or spark probe that goes (goes click, click, to light)??
If spark probe, you will have to replace either gas valve or spark board.
If glow bar lights the broil but does not glow, then replace glow coil.

The broiler and the oven will not heat up/ the oven was on, working fine, starting losing temp. The gas was still on.

Hi Satk78
Since both broiler and bake are affected then the cause is common. The first to consider would be the gas supply - make sure the regulator from the supply is functioning properly

The safety valve is the most likely problem. If a knock on it(safety valve) cause the oven to work better, then, change the safety valve.

Broiler won't light

Usually, when an oven won't broil, it's because the broil igniter is weak or burned out. The igniter is a small, round or rectangular device, about 1 inch by 4 to 8 inches. It's near the burner itself.

The burner is the tube-type device the gas flows through before it's ignited. It has many small holes on the sides to let the gas, when ignited, form a long, low flame. If the igniter is weak, if it glows red but doesn't get hot enough, or if it's burned out, the gas doesn't flow to the burner and the burner won't ignite. If this is the problem, you may need to replace the igniter or the safety valve. Usually the igniter is to blame.

Amana broiler problem

Each burner manifold in the oven has its own igniter. If the igniter is defective, the burner assembly will not light. The igniter has to be functioning properly in order for the gas safety valve to open. This is a designed safety feature that prevents free flowing gas from entering the oven cavity without ignition. This reduces the risk of explosions.

There should be a flame spreader metal plate covering the access over the broiler. You will need to access the broiler so you can view the broiler manifold and igniter. Turn the oven setting to broil and make sure the igniter begins to glow. If the igniter fails to glow, replace it. If the igniter does glow, but you still do not have ignition after 90 seconds, the igniter may be weak and still require replacement. The following link explains oven igniter types, their current potential, and how to replace them:

If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know before you rate the solution. I hope this helps you.

Burners from main oven do not turn on VGRC485-6QDSS

No spanish, but ignitors in oven are worn out if they glow and flame is slow or does not come on. They would need to be replaced. I have them on-hand if you want them. I cannot see your repyl due to some tech issue w/ the site, so it may be a day or so before I can reply again. Please leave feedback for me if appropriate. Thanks
