Hi esteemed problem solver
I've often had this problem, with other printers too. It seems particularly bad on the 930 though. What happens is that the left margin on the printed page gradually gets bigger while the right margin gradually gets smaller. The result is that letters etc don't look good. Thanks for your help

Re: print is not straight
It sounds like the paper is being pulled into the printer at a crooked angle.
Check that the guides in the paper supply tray are adjusted correctly to the paper width and are tight against the stack of paper.
Alternatively one of the rubber pinch rollers that pull the paper though is slipping or worn smooth.

Usually happens when print heads have been damaged usually from inferior inks have print heads replaced if possible, If it is only happening with particular software try another printing program, If problem is present still either repair print heads if possible otherwise replace printer. I hope this helps
"Add a printer" in "My Computer"/"Printers" or "Control Panel"/"Printers". The 6122 will print from the HP 920, 930, 932, 940 & 950 drivers also - (which are included with many Windows systems). If you chose the 970 driver it will want a second sheet of paper to print a test page, which you can ignore and it will stop trying. All drivers seem to be the same print quality in my systems. I do not use the 970 or 6122 driver at all so I don't have an ink level monitor or any possible related potential glitch.
Try a different driver. "Add a printer" in "My Computer"/"Printers" or "Control Panel"/"Printers". The 6122 will print from the HP 920, 930, 932, 940 & 950 drivers also - (which are included with your Windows XP and Vista systems). All these drivers seem to be the same print quality in my systems.
the paperfeed at the top, on the left hand side there is a grey slide, (right
in the printer) to hold the paper in place. Use it to keep the paper
straight! It seems that if the paper goes in straight, the whole page is
printed, if it doesn't it messes up the page.
Worked for other people having trouble with Epson Printers
Sounds like the paper pick-up assebly has gone bad. The lifting mechanism has gone bad for that particular cassette and the only thing I've done is replace the whole assembly. I tried to repair the assebly but it's too time consuming and you still have a used assembly.
Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
The "Printer not responding" message may appear due to many reasons like;
Bad Communication port
Printer Spooler not active
As you have stated you have had checked the connections, and also have reset the printer, so going straight to Drivers and Spooler issue.
I'll advise you to navigate to this link, detailed step by step guidelines are mentioned there; Vendor's support page. (Step 5)

The supply status report is based on what the kill chip is reporting to the printer. If that particular color is not printing then it is likely that current is not flowing though a particular component in the cartridge. I would return the cartridge and get a replacement.
If your printer all of a sudden started giving you ?out of memory? errors while printing things you could print before, then you might have a problem.
First thing to do is print out a copy of your printers configuration and verify how much memory the printer thinks it has. If it?s different from what you physically installed you may have issues with you memory. If you are trying to print large graphics they you simply may just need to increase you printers memory.
If you?ve got plenty of memory, you haven?t changed or done anything to cause this error and you?ve been able to print this material before without errors here are some things to try:
The 5P doesn?t have a display screen I?m assuming you?re getting this error in Windows. What is the status of the LEDs on the printer when you get this error? If you or anyone else with a similar problem is so inclined here is HPs LED code sheet:
Try deleting your existing printer queue, downloading a new copy of the appropriate driver and reinstall. Here is the link to the HP site, simply select your operating system, select and download the appropriate driver. I personally am more partial to the pcl 5e driver and avoid everything else, in particular the PostScript drivers. Here is the HP link for their LaserJet 5p drivers:
If none of this works let us know what happened that seems pertinent.
