I have heavy condensation daily inside on my windows in the morning. What causes this? How can I fix it?

It is caused by water vapour in humid warmer air inside the vehicle condensing on the very cold windscreen. As long as the interior glass surface is much colder than the inside air it contacts you will get condensation forming on the inside surface.

2. If you equalise the temperature of the air inside the vehicle with the outside temp for 5 minutes before locking up your car you will minimise condensation, as will garaging it. If you drive around with the heater on full on a freezing cold day, stop the car and lock it up exposed, you are going to get condensation, especially if you have used the recirc control to block the outside air from entering the climate control system in the cabin while driving.

3. If you are having this condensation issue set the air controls on the car (before you turn it off and park it) so that outside air can flow in through the cabin venting system. When you drive around constantly with just interior air circulation and no outside air entering you are going to get a build up of humidity.

How Heat Pumps Work

How on earth can you get hot air or hot water from very cold outside air? How does a heat pump make this heat out of cold air?
When certain gases change their state from a liquid to a gas or from a gas to a liquid the magic happens.

A heat pump can do some pretty amazing things, when it comes to making heat. To understand the way they work, you must first understand what happens when certain gases change from a liquid state to a gas and back to a liquid again. To simplify it a bit we need to look at a basic air conditioning system. The refrigerant in an air conditioning system is changing to a liquid in the outdoor condenser. The compressor compresses the gas forming a hot gas. As this gas cools under high pressure it changes into a liquid form.

Inside the indoor coil the liquid is pushed through a small hole or orifice. When it comes out the other side it rapidly changes it’s state to a gas as the pressure suddenly drops. The rapid pressure drop changes the refrigerant to a very cold gas. Air flowing over the cold gas inside the pipes makes the air cool and provides air conditioning.

Now for a heat pump the process is much the same, only coils are just switched by used a reversing valve in the outdoor condenser unit. Instead of the heat being purged to the outside from the condenser unit, the indoor unit then becomes the condenser coil. The outdoor coil becomes the cold coil and cools the outside. This is why if it is very cold outside the unit will have to run in air conditioning mode for a short time to defrost the outside cold coil. When this happens the system will usually have electric heat inside to run and keep the indoor air warm.

The reality is that a heat pump is really no more than an air conditioner running in reverse. Through the magic of using refrigerants, a heat pump can then run many times more efficiently than straight electric heat. A careful heat loss/gain should always be performed by a qualified service person before any sizing of a unit. Too large or too small of a heat pump system can make it inefficient and possibly cause it to be very uncomfortable. The longevity of the unit can also be affected by sizing and installation. Be patient and look carefully for the best contractor to install your system.

A properly designed and installed heat pump system can give you many years of comfort and efficiency. If you look for and find the contractor that can do the job right you will get many trouble free comfortable years from your heat pump unit.

There are service manuals but I would not under any circumstance try to open your camera or the lens. There are just too many tiny, easily lost/damaged parts in there and some require special tools to access. Any water "on the lens" should be on the outside and can be removed by cleaning. If you see it inside the camera in the form of drops or condensation there is water damage to the camera unless it's normal condensation that's occurred from taking the camera in/out during temperature extremes. In that case, just allow the camera to acclimate before you turn it on.

AC hoses leaking

The condensation will be mostly forming on the suction line to the compressor . It is the moisture in the air forming water droplets when the air hits the cooler pipe. The refrigerant boils off inside the line because of the low pressure cause by the sucking action of the compressor and this boiling off reduces the temperature of the line and so the condensation forms . It will be the larger of the 2 pipes and if this condensation is causing concern then there is a form tube that you can get from the rubbers shops that you can wrap around the line and this insulates the line and so the condensation will not form. When the system is working properly you will notice that the smaller line will be quite hot as the compressor compresses the refrigerant back into a liquid so that at the TX valve in the evaporator(inside the car) releases the liquid into the vacuum created by the compressor sucking on that line. The heat in the car helps boil off the liquid to gas and in doing so removes the heat from inside the car . As it is doing this there is condensation forming on the evaporator fins that drains off out a tube to outside under the car ,hence the pool of water on the road as you drive off.

Outside unit doesnt start inside unit is working

This model of Goodman A/C the condenser coil get extremely dirty and what happens is when your condenser runs for a long period of time it pops the capacitor. This is the starting component for the compressor and the fan outside. the coil needs to be cleaned with a non acid condenser cleaner. Open up the side compartment of A/C look at the silver cylinder thats the capacitor if is looks swelled replace it.

I have a vx2000 and it has a flashing yellow box with what looks like a water droplet inside of it. Also where the amount of tape left would be there are numbers flashing. Whats wrong with it?

Sounds like the DEW warning is activated.
This occurs when you take a camera form a heated room to an external cold environment. Condensation forms inside the camera.
The Dew warning serves to protect the tape and camera. Wait until the camera acclimatizes and the condensation disappears.
There is most likely nothing wrong with the camera.

If water did get into the cover of it the circuit board may have got condensation inside and on it. There is no way to tell if there is condensation is to look inside the amp and inspect the circuit board. Also I would not run power through it because if there is condensation on the circuit board you will fry the components.

New inverter reverse cycle leaking water out the front of the unit. Its 44 degress outside, could this be the problem?

Is it leaking out of the evaporator(inside unit) or condenser?

If it is leaking from the outside unit on defrost then it is normal, if it is leaking from the inside unit then you have a blocked condensate drain tube!

These units defrost from time to time and is normal, it is actually melting the ice that can form on the condenser when it is cold enough outside, it has to initiate a defrost cycle so that air can flow through the condenser again after the cycle is complete.

Then it will return to normal heat pump mode, this is assuming that you have a heat pump.
