Not sure what you mean, but if your sd card is not being recognized by your laptop it could mean you need to reinstall your drivers.
Before doing this try using a different sd card incase there is a problem with the one you are using.
I suggest you contact Dish Network directly. You may need to have a converter box replaced or a new converter box connected to your old TV (and pay for the installation.)
Take off top of brewer after unplugging and check all electrical connections.If it is a older VPR it probably has a bad plug.You can cut off old plug and replace.You can pick up a new one at the hardware store.
