Question about Brother MFC-9440CN Multifunction Printer
MFC 9440CN does not detect yellow cartridge!!! it keeps giving me the message: cartridge error put yell cartridge back in. it's inside!!!!!
THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SOLUTIONS HERE.
1) With a clean cloth or compressed air clear the sensor are on both cartridge and area around where cartridge plugs in.
2 Check for blockage in cartridge
3) Try a new Yellow cartridge

Run the Brother Control Center. Click Device settings. Click where it says Inklevel.
A simpler way is Start-->All Programs-->Brother--> ...-->Status Monitor.
An icon will lodge itself on the tray (a printer). When icon is clicked on, the inklevels will show.
