Question about Ryobi Garden
I HAVE A ZAMA CARB MODEL C1U W7D MADE IN CHINA ..IT WONT START CAUSE IT OVERFLOODS AND GAS COMES OUT WHERE AIR FILTER IS. SO I DICIDED TO CLEAN IT UP THINKING THAT DIRT MUST BE CLOGGING THE GAS PASSAGE WAYS AND THROTEL NEEDEL TO STAY OPEN .WHILE CLEAN IT I SAW A MINUSCULE RUBBER COME OUT FROM THE CHECK VALVES IN THE PRIMER BULB..OOOPS. NOW I THINK I HAVE BIGGER PROBLEM .. Q- CAN I JUST PUSH THE RUBBER BACK IN THE CHECK VALVE HOLE OR I MOST ABSOLUTLY BY ANOTHER THROTTLE BODY.

Line from tank with the filter on it is the supply line and goes to the
carb inlet fitting. This is typically on the "bottom" of the carb (with
the tank being up) and will usually have a fitting with barbs or a
bulge on it to ensure a tight fit. The other fitting on the carb is the
return line and is usually a straight tube fitting with no barbs. That
line goes the suction side of the primer bulb. The third line goes from
the outlet of the primer bulb to the return barb fitting in the bottom
of the tank. Fittings have to be removed from tank to properly install
the new hoses on them. Remove retainer ring on outide of tank and push
fittings into tank, then shake out of the fill opening. More details on
replacing hoses are listed in another post about Repairing Ryobi
Have you checked the spark plug?

It's possibly the filter, can't help there. I would check for a split line or loose connection between the tank and bulb and even splits in the bulb itself.

Hi There, Check the primer bulb for tare or pin holes. Replace it. Check and clean carb jet it maybe plugged with debree. Also check for spark which you didn't say. Replace with correct plug.
Note; Do not use strong cleaners on rubber seals (O rings and gaskets) They dry up and crack.
If needed use a dabble of grease on seals

Testimonial: "Thank you. I had to merely add more gas to tank & bulb siphoned fine. Changed the plug and bingo! It started & runs great. "
