Question about HP Photosmart D7160 InkJet Printer
I am trying to print something and the process on my computer is doing fine but my printer doesn't do anything. I haven't used it for a long time and the last time I did I made a mistake and gave order to print a whole site. Now when I press "View & print" it says "Insert a memory card"
View & print button is used for viewing the content in the memory card if it is inserted in your printer. If you are giving job from computer and it is not getting printed try the following steps.
1. check the cable between computer and printer.
2. check the printer queue ( see a printer icon on the right bottom of the screen near time). if it is there double click and check whether any document is pending in the queue. if so cancel all pending job and restart the computer and try printing again.

The message is not an error message and does not indicate an issue with the product. The message is designed to be an invitation to print photos from a memory card. Follow these steps to insert a memory card into the product. Populate the destination list
You must populate the destination list in HP Solution Center for the
function to work. Follow these steps to populate the destination list.
NOTE: HP Solution Center is the software that came with the product. You must make sure the software is installed on the computer for all the product functions to work correctly. The software is also necessary for completing this procedure. Install HP Solution Center if it is not already installed.
NOTE: It might take several minutes for the list to populate. If the appropriate programs are already listed as scan destinations, discontinue this procedure. You must reinstall the software.

I had the same problem with my HP L7590 All In One. After trying a number of
things to reset nothing worked. Then I tried this just as a last resort and it
Insert the/a memory card( it will tell you that you can only use one card at a time).
With the card still in turn off the printer using the power button.
Wait for 30 seconds then turn power on again.
The screen should say reading card. So wait for it to finish reading and all should be fixed.
If this does not work, try again using a different card.
Send me Kudos if it works.
