Sony Bravia TV automtaically goes on standby.

It is the KDL 40V4100 model. I checked the timer and the PC Management is off. Also sometimes the TV will not come out of standby and makes weird noise when it is in standby.

Also the Standby light flashes 13 times, stops, and then continues that pattern and I have tried to factory reset but tv still stays on standby. Brand new tv barely had it for a month. Please help.

TV DOES NOT TURN ON STANDBY RED LIGHT STAYS ON

Hi Friend,
Check your TV's remote battries. If they are good, then, power off the TV at the main wall socket and unplug the power cord, leave it for 5 minutes. Now, connect back the main power cord, hold the Power On/Standby button on your TV and power then turn ON main switch on the wall. This should resolve your issue.

Thanks,
Shiva

I have a Sony KDL-40V4100, constantly hearing clicking noises

Could be the power board or main board defective, but I suggest you do firmware update first. Go to http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=KDL42V4100&LOC=3#div_pos_30 download the software.

TV in standby mode and will not reset

I would initially try unplugging the TV, allowing it to sit for a few minutes, and replugging it in. If it still will not power on you will need to contact Sony for support or repair. If it is pretty new you may want to check with the store where you purchased it.
