Question about Canon Optura 50 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

Open Question

My recording mode seems to work fine. It's only when I am in playback mode that my video appears to be running at 1.5x speed. The audio is fast and the video appears to have jitter as though I am jogging forward. I checked that it is not my recording by using previously recorded miniDV tapes. They all playback in the same manner. If I switch to the SD card mode and record live video, the playback is fine. I tried cleaning the video head using the Sony MiniDV Head Cleaner cassette to no avail. Any ideas. Many thanks in advance.

SOURCE: JVC GR-D33U won't play back some tapes

I still thinking alignment is matter on your CAM and one more thing in your CAM it have the rubber roller it call itself pinch roller if that worm out or defective it can damaged the tape and depend the thickness and branch of those tape it make different resul you can check yours tapes which one is no picture open the lid door and look carrefully any mark deteriorate on the tape
I sugges you to bring it to JVC to check the pinch roller and re-align the tape guide and back tension it delicated and need special instruments and software service it

Unfortunately, no. By recording in fast mode, the camera captured fewer frames than usual. When played back at the normal speed, the action appears faster than normal. Because the camera recorded fewer frames, there is no way to make up for the images that were not captured. You could slow down the playback, but the result would be a jerky, jumpy video.
Now, if you had accidentally captured the video in slow motion, you could then throw away some of the intervening frames and recreate a normal-speed video.

Recording do not sync up

1rst- Maybe you choose the incorrect metronome. On analog audio record use your default audio card metronome and on MIDI audio record, use MIDI metronome!
2nd- Check your memory video card & remember your computer speed is as fast as the lowest speed component on it.
Pardon my poor English!!!!

Good luck!!!

LP audio recording seems to be at the wrong speed

1- The turntable is set to 45 rpm and the album is recorded at 33 rpm. Press the 33 rpm button the red light should come on turn the and be fine.

or

2- This turn table has a fast record mode where you can record a 33 rpm LP faster by spinning it at 45 rpm. If you are trying to use this mode you will have to make a software setting to tell the TTUSB10 digital converter program what mode you want to run.

Audio on Webcam is distorted - seems to be recording at a slower speed and palying back at normal spped

as a workaround you can use the headset, you just need to configure your messenger again to use the sound from the mic input instead from the webcam.

I have a canon SD 580. When I playback the video clip it's always in fast forward mode and I can't play it normal speed. Any help?

Make sure you are shooting your movies in "Standard" mode. If you have the mode set to something else, especially "Time Lapse", the playback may not match 'natural' motion.

In any case, you can control the speed of the playback. When you first enter the movie playback mode, there should be a movie control bar along the bottom of the LCD. Instead of the "Play" button, select the "Slow Motion Playback" button (single arrow with single bar next to the normal Play button), and control the speed with the left or right arrows on the multi-controller.

Olympus DS30 voice recorder play speed issue

Hi, the solution to the problem seems to be the following. When u press play, once, you get 1x play. If whilst playing you press play a second time the DS-30 goes into slow play mode, and if you press a second time it goes into fast mode. For those of us who accidentally went into either fast or slow mode, just press the play button again, during playback, until "play" appears on the LCD screen. Apparently it is as simple as that.

VHS system malfunction

VCR's automatically detect what speed the present tape was recorded at. It only gives you a choice of speeds when doing the recording. If you are saying that it won't playback a tape recorded in one of the slow speeds, it is most likely because VCR's with more than two heads use different combinations of them in different speeds and the ones used for slow speeds are maybe needing cleaning. If this is the case, the vcr will seem to be playing OK, but the video playback will be bad.
