Right click on the desktop and choose "new folder" and name it. Drag the items you want to move to the folder. Plug in your thumb drive and go to "my computer". Locate your thumb drive, navigate to the folder you created on your desktop. Click on the folder and hold it then drag it to your thumb drive icon. You will get a status window pop up and that's it!

Need to know how to stop thm from downloading into computer

Assuming you are using Windows XP, the following solution applies to remove the thumbs.db file from your picture folders. The function of thumbs.db is just to cache the pictures in that folder so that previews load faster, so you can safely disable this feature and delete the file.

First let's turn this feature off, so that no new thumbs.db files are created (the thumbs.db already created will have to deleted manually:

1) Open My Computer or any windows folder
2) From the top menu options, click on "Tools"
3) Open Folder Options, click on "VIEW" tab (right of "GENERAL" tab)
4) In "Advanced Settings", under "Files and Folders" sub heading, put a check mark in the "Do not cache thumbnails" option (by default it's unchecked).
5) Now, click Ok and close the folder.
6) That's it, no more annoying "thumbs.db" files.

Next follow these steps to remove the thumbs.db files already created in your hard drive.

1) Click on Start button and open "Search"
2) Click on All Files and Folders (by default XP search is set to standard. Advanced mode is slightly different and can be selected from "change preferences" --> "change files and folder search behaviour", but basically the procedure remains same.
3) Type "thumbs.db" in "all or part of the file name"
4) In the Look in box, make sure all local hard drives is chosen or you can select "my computer" too from the drop down menu.
5) Now, this step is important, expand "more advanced options", by clicking on its arrow and make sure all the first three options, ie, search "system folders", "hidden files" & "subfolders" are selected (have check marks). If not select them. (Remember, most "thumbs.db" have an "hidden file" attribute, so if hidden file search is unchecked, either no results or very few only will appear.
6) Click "Search" and wait till search is completed. It can take a long time depending on your hard drive size and contents.
7) All thumbs.db files in your hard drive will be displayed
8) Click "Edit" from the top menu options and click "Select All" from the drop down menu.
8) Click "File" menu (left of EDIT), now click "Delete" rom its drop down options.
9) Click "yes" if asked for confirmation. Close "search", now go to "Recycle Bin" and empty it.
10) Your PC is now free of "thumbs.db" pest forever.

There was no Apple-provided facility prior to Mac OS X that would do this. There may have been third-party facilities to create encrypted archives and the like, but after ten years I really can't recall any, and I can guarantee you nobody is maintaining them any more.
Here's an alternative suggestion: invest in a modest USB thumb drive, put your sensitive documents there, and maintain controlled access to the physical drive.

Uploading photos

Both the thumb drive and the picture frame are USB slave devices, not USB masters. They both need to be connected to a USB master in order to transfer files.

Do you have a standard USB cable from some other device, any other device? If so, that should fit into the picture frame. If not, you'll have to buy one.

Connect the thumb drive to your computer. Create a folder on the computer and copy your photos to that folder. Then connect the picture frame to the computer and copy the photos from the folder to the frame.

If you have two or more USB ports, you can skip the folder and just copy photos from the thumb drive directly to the frame.

A folder take too much time to open

Every folder in windows when "thumbnails" view is given saves file named "Thumbs.db" in which small photos are saved which for internal content, and also "desctop.ini" is saved in folder, sometimes some incorrect datas or very big ammount of information is saved in this file, try unhide hidden files and delete those two files manually, it will reset folder wiew and will become it faster. also you can create separate folder and move content in it and then delete old one but be careful dont use ctrl+a to mark all files, because it also copys those mentioned files and result will be same, you will still suffer from waiting folder to open, better to copy by drag and drop.

Photos don't show

Usually you are not limited in the number of folders you can create. You can have this problem if you are not createing folders to store the pictures in. Make sure ther are no pictures or other files outsde the folders in the root directory. If that does not help, that that drive to a camera store or coptuter shop that can do a data recovery. If there is a corruption in the USB directory then you may get problems like this as well. Reformatting the USB drive might help, but you will need to remove everything from it first. Chenck out

When i put a bluray dvd on my ps3 it said i need a encryption key

Create a folder on a CD or USB Thumb drive and name it PS3. within the PS3 folder, create a folder named UPDATE . Download the update and save it in the UPDATE folder. You can get the latest update via the following site:
Be sure to save the update in the UPDATE folder (this IS case sensitive by the way) or the PS3 will not recognize the update data.
Insert your disc or usb thumb drive and go to settings, then system update at the top, then press x. Select 'update via storage media' and start the update. once completed, your system will reboot and you will be good to go.
