Your calculator is set to scientific notation. To get out, press f followed by a digit representing the number of digits you want after the decimal point. To have two digits after the decimal point, for example, press f 2.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Use the square root function. It's the g-shifted function of the 1/x key (second key from the left on the second row).

Sticking/Under responsive zero key on an HP12c!! Is it trash?

It could be some dirt or grit in the keyboard, which a blast or two of compressed air might clear out. It could be a worn dome on the inside of the keyboard.
If you want to have it repaired, there's FixThatCalc, though they're currently not taking new orders. There also have been several threads on opening and cleaning Voyager series keyboards at the Museum of HP Calculators. Here's one article on opening a Voyager.
