Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

I have washer/dryer Servis (Easy Logic 1500) model: M9505W-1. When is washing or drying there is no heating. Is it thermostat or heating element, or something else that I don't know of? Can I repair it by myself? Thanks.

SOURCE: Hoover nextra 5+5 washer dryer HNWF 3135 heating broken

it is seperate heaters for wash and dry and unlikely to be connected with blocked filter tho you should check filter regularly. take top off. on manifold running across top you will see stats. one of these at least is resettable by presssing a small knob in middle and if it has gone you will hear a slight click. then check dryer manifole for build up of lint as pooir air flow can cause stat to pop. for wash heating, start by checking continuity of the wash heater located at the bottom of the tub

SOURCE: My WVF 2402 washer/dryer washes clothes ok but doesn't dry them.

Sorry I'm way late with this but I've only just noticed it. Unplug the machine from the mains! Remove the lid (with a torx screwdriver) and you'll notice a small circular device with 2 leads attached on the top of the machine, in the centre there's a small button, press it and it should click......you've fixed it This is a thermal cutout safety device designed to switch the drying heater off if it becomes too hot. The probable cause for this is that you've over filled the machine and the air didn't circulate freely. as a rule of thumb, dry 1/2 as many clothes as you wash.

I have a Servis M9409S washer dryer. The dryer isn't heating up at all, and I'm assuming it's the heating element. Does anyone know how to replace it?

There is only one place that I can find that part: http://www.partmaster.co.uk/servis/m9409/element/catalogue.pl?path=66991,61187:66997&model_ref=29129&refine=element

Fridgidaire high capacity stackable FEX831CSO/ washer/dryer no heat

If dryer tumbles but won't dry usually means the heating element has broke in two. It can also be a thermostat usually installed near outlet of blower assembly or a limit switch installed in element heater assembly.

Almost always this means the heating Element has went out. They are not very expensive and are easy to replace.

Its about my washer/dryer combo whirlpool model lte6234dqs: -the dryer don't produce hot air and therefore don't dry. -Anybody please?

check your breaker to the appliance you must have 220 volts before it will heat if you only have 110 volts it will run but not heat otherwise it could be a thermostat or heating element which is hard to say with out me being there to check it out with a meter

Dryer not generating adequate heat. needing multiple cycles to dry. cleaned out the vent but no improvement. heating element??

I would check heating element also on the heating element box is a thermostat probably need to check that also take the wires off the heating element and use an ohm meter to check it out it should register and not go to infinity. Same for the heating thermostat.

No heat during drying cycle

your heating element or the thermostats that control the heating element could be bad. research no heat for your make of dryer, it should show how to ohm the thermostats and element for fault. They should all read 000 when ohmed. 000 being a complete circuit. I have been having thermal fuse problems with my whirlpool dryer, so I'm learning as I go.

The machine heats up, ( the clothes are steaming), but they are not getting dry. It is to the point where you can dry one towel at a time ... don't know if it is an easy fix my husband can sort out, or if...

It sounds like the heating element is partially burned out. If the element is partially burned out, the dryer still heats, but at such a low temperature that it takes three or four times as long to dry the clothes. If the element is partially burned out, replace it. Make sure all duct work is clean.
Although it is not a common problem, the cycling thermostat could be bad, one of the thermostats that controls the heat in the dryer may break and cause the dryer to heat poorly. The thermostat is usually a small, round, black device that is mounted to an oblong steel plate. The plate is mounted to the internal duct work with two screws. Hope this helped. Good luck.

Tumble dryer not drying

Either dryer element has failed, thermostat for drying or the drying condenser fan not working.

There are two heating elements and the top one is for drying.

Dryer - acquaviva 1300 - how it works?

the dryer has 2 thermostats if these are blown then the heater wont work but you can check to see if the element is burned out by unplugging your machine opening the top off it the wires that plug into the element replace with a plugged wire with bare wires on the end place each wire into the correct connector and turn the plug on this will either heat the element up or if it doesnt then the element is blown m8
