Are there any hidden pages in SURFboard SB4100 Configuration Mgr?

The Configuration Manager (http://192.168.100.1) has these pages visible: Status, Signal, Addresses, Confirguration, Logs and Help - e.g. via http://192.168.100.1/address.html etc.

Are there other 'hidden' pages that might have a little more techie capability?

Hi there.
No there's not any additional pages or other technical info on the modem page.
All it gives is the mac address and so on, you cannot make any changes to the modem as you will need modem hacking software to do this.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

The LED light for the ACTIVITY status did not come on for my Motorola SB4100, I can not connect to the internet, what's the problem?

It may have the wrong IP address configuration. Did anything change recently on your network or within your environment? Is the WAN port connected to your ISPs line coming into your house? I'm assuming it's plugged in and you have other light activity, i.e a Power indicator light? Also, if you plug in any computers to the LAN ports, is there activity on those ports?

What is the best router to buy for a SURFboard SB4100 Cable Modem?

For this one the best router that I can think that you can consider in using are this 2 model , for a regular wireless G router you can get this model WRT54G , but if you have a large house and needs a stronger and wider signal for the wireless computers you can get this WRT300N they are both from Linksys.

I nwws to connect my surfboard moden SB4100 tom y

If you are using an ethernet connection then you should not need an installation disk. If you are connecting through USB then you can download the drivers from motorola's website.

Need instalation help (no disk) for surfboard sb4100

The download page for these products at Motorola's site is here. If you don't trust clicking a link, here's the URL:

http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/support/default.asp?supportSection=DiscontinuedProducts

The SB4100 is about midway down the page. All the drivers and documentation is listed there. Just click on the link for whatever you need.

Please take a moment to rate this solution a fixya if it's been what you need, and thanks for asking here!
