door handle has collapsed internally and i need to open the door by other means possibly by removing the outer trim but i cant see how without destroying the plastic trim.anyone have a clue please.LG WD-1074(6)FHB

Try: Program the select knob at 6 o'clock position. Speed at 9 o'clock. Press pre-wash and the power button together for 4 to 5 seconds. Hopefully it will unlock.

I opened it with a pair of needle nose plyers. You gotta press down on whats left of the handle and pull out on the door. It's a little tricky, but that will open it.
