Question about Akai Professional AKAI MPK88 USB MIDI CONTROLLER WITH PADS

Open Question

Expression pedal on mpk 88 (I'm using Yamaha FC7) doesn't work from 0 to 127 but only from 29 to 127. I tried other pedals (Korg, Bespeco) but no one goes back to 0. Thank you for your reply.

Yamaha FC7 Pedal not operating

Make sure the shaft is turning the volume pot, if so, then potentiometer is bad OR has a bad connection. The cord is probably the cause from being pulled on or the plug needs re-soldering.

How to turn on en off the moulation of a korg x5d

For Combi/Multi patches you can disable control changes for each sound under EDIT 6D but this also switches off other control change instructions (pan, expression, pedal etc.).

Somewhere under GLOBAL settings you should be able to find the modulation wheel Depth setting and set it to 0 which should stop your mod wheel from working but you could achieve the same effect by just keeping the mod wheel pulled all the way down.

I plugged a sustain pedal from my Yamaha DX7 on the dumper pedal jack but it works opposite as it should (by pressing the pedal sound cancels as i release the keys; when pedal runs completely free sounds...

every sustain pedal got different polarity.. normally just go to global setting on your keyboard and change damper polarity setting to plus or minus (select which one work with your sustain padle).

What should I do for connect the fc7 to Roland RD-700sx for controll the loudness? Thanks a lot Heinz

Yamaha pedals MAY not work on the Roland... However, read page 85 of your manual regarding the FC1 and FC2 jacks. plug the pedal into one of them and then assign/select that jack as controller #7 (CC7) which is the volume controller number used in MIDI.

Y does my rp90`s expression pedal not work it worked when i first plugged it in but now it doesn`t

Some of the settings the pedal does not affect the sound. Try different settings... Also make sure you have the correct power adapter.

Our church has a Korg M50-88 synthesizer. The sustain quit working and we have tried 7 different pedals. Any suggestions?

It may not be the pedals as the fault can be oriented within the set.
So I think you can open the back of the set and check for all connections to be tight , remove and refit.
If this wont solve it is not adviseable to check this higly intergrated PCB without a help. So consult the Korg service.

Refer to page 222 in your PA800 user manual regarding calibrating the polarity of the damper pedal. The setting in your unit MAY have gotten clobbered.
It is NOT clear if you have a PA800 or M50-88. If you have the latter, then read page 22 of your user manual where it says in certain modes the sustain can be set to affect only certain voices. Again, see if internal parmeter settings may have been clobbered to disable the sustain.

I need a volume pedal for a SX KN6000 Technics keyboard

As there's no polarity switch on the FC7 the quick and dirty way is to cut the cable and swap the wires around.
