Its pretty much the same with each web browser.
You can make google your homepage by clicking the icon in the top right corner in your browser (to the right or under the search window), select options, then you should be able to choose what homepage you want to use by typing it in where is says "choose homepage". (www.google.com).
Usually these days, google asks you when you enter their page, if you want to use it as a homepage. Should pop-up under your search window. (Search bar = Where you type in your web address).
