When i test my xbox live connection nothimg works

For wireless connections:Before checking your connection again, make sure your wireless router is turned on and everything is green (by green I mean all your lights are green and none are orange). To check that you do have wireless connection test another wireless device, either a laptop, or mobile phone would be good.
If you have a wireless adapter connected your XBOX make sure everything is connected properly, there is a large light on the adapter this should be green. If not then I would advise you delete your wireless information on your XBOX and re enter it.
When this is done then it should connect.
For Wired connections: Check your cables, make sure that there is no holes in it. And if possible try it in a different device like a laptop or PC if you can. If the cable is good then it could be a bigger problem to diagnose.

Hope this helps.

Picture freeze and pinstrip on the screen

When a Microsoft Xbox 360 console experiences a "general hardware" failure or "core digital" failure, three flashing red lights appear (known as the "Red Ring of Death") around the power button, in lieu of the four green lights indicating normal operation. Warning signs may include freeze-ups, in which the screen has strange, spontaneous graphical problems in the middle of gameplay, such as checkerboard or pinstripe patterns on the screen, the sound is frozen and changed to a strange, static-like sound, and the console only responds to pressing the power button to turn it off. These events may happen once or several times until the general hardware failure occurs, when the user attempts to turn the console on, and the three red lights are seen and the console will not function.

this sounds like it will error e74 which will need a reflow
but dont overheat with a towel as this will cause more problems

My Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter stopped working.

Shut off your console and unplug everything.

Connect the adapter then connect the console back together...Turn on console......Go to network configuration...Make sure u are connecting the adapter from the back!

If you are not able to achieve a connection for several attempts this means your should check warranty status for the adapter also.........If you unplugged it while the console was one you could of shocked the cable an blew the fuse.......Normally when u detach any components with a usb port u should alway make sure every thing is shut off before so.

Xbox 360 won't turn on

To troubleshoot this problem, try the following steps:

Examine the power indicator light that is located in the center of the Ring Of Light on your Xbox 360 console. If there is no power to your console, the indicator light is off and the fans are off.
* Press the power button. The power button and the power indicator light are located in the center of the Ring of Light on the front of your Xbox 360 console. If your Xbox is functioning correctly, the power will turn on.
* Press the eject button on your console disc drive. If your console turns on when you do this but does not start when you use the power button, there may be a problem with the power button or the console faceplate may not be attached correctly. Contact Xbox Customer Support for more help.

If the above step does not resolve the problem, examine the power cord where it connects to your console and to the power outlet. Disconnect and then reconnect the power cord at each end to make sure that you firmly connect the cord.

If this does not resolve the problem, see whether the power cord is plugged in to any device other than a typical power outlet. For example, the power cord may be attached to an extension cord. If this is the case, remove this device and then plug the power supply directly into a power outlet.

If the problem is not a connection problem, examine the light on the Xbox 360 Power Supply.
* A green light indicates that the power supply is functioning correctly. If the light is not green, contact Xbox Customer Support for more help.If these steps do not resolve the problem, your console needs service.

Freezing and three n two rings

you need to go over the mainboard with a heatgun in a circular motion 2-3 inches away from it. pay attention to around the cpu, gpu and memory chips and you will end up re-seating the solder and should fix this better for you. i dont know what you did to fix it in the first place but i can say that errors like the 3rrod really benefit from taking your time when doing the fix and making sure everything is covered.

Xbox live stops working

It is a conflict with your router and modem. If you have a WRT54G linksys router and a Ae60 modem then this conflict will happen. To stop it, buy a new modem or router OR connect to XBox LIVE wirelessly using the XBox 360 wireless adapter ($100).

Unable to connect to xbox live.

Make sure you have a valid and working internet connection in your home. If it is wireless, then make sure your wireless adapter is set to connect to your network. If it's not wireless, run an ethernet cable from the back of your Xbox to your router. Comment back for any more assisstance.
