The air switch on my whirlpool tub will not toggle, i must hold the button in to keep motor running.

What you are experiencing when you push the Air Button down and it engages the BATH PUMP but when you release the the Air Button is a bad Air Switch in the BATH PUMP.
When you push the air button down it sends a column of air to move a small switch in the BATH PUMP. When the switch in the BATH PUMP is bad it will not engage.
What you need is a new Air Switch model TBS-339.

No water being dispensed from my Insinkerator hot water tap following insallation of new filter

Probably debris from old filter got trapped in the line.
If the insinkerator has aerator, take that off and flush out debris.
Otherwise, the line will have to be taken apart and blown out.

Tenant dropped a shot glass down the drain and it shattered. Will the Badger 5 chew up the glass, or do I need to get it out?

Yes it will. Turn it off and onn a few seconds until the thickest part is broken up and then run it with the cold water on several minutes to flush it out.

Button does not work. Been difficult for a long time and finally stopped all together. Is there a bladder or something that can be replaced or does the entire switch need to be replaced? Not real...

The button assembly is just a little air piston that squirts air through a hose to the black box with the electrical switch in it. You should make sure the tube is connected good and not leaking. You'll be able to take the button off the sink by unscrewing the nut holding it to the bottom of the sink. You might be able to pop it apart and clean the gunk out of it, but you can search on ebay like http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=insinkerator+button&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_odkw=insinkerator+replacement+button&_osacat=0 and find a new replacement button for about $12

Garbage disposal will not go on. Breaker is on, reset has been tried.

Yes. It is possible. Is the push button in with this switch box? Because the push button could be bad.

UNsermount sink with waste disposal

The easy mount disposal has a ring the (sort of) screws onto the insinkerator sink drain - the thing that is labeled insinkerator when you look down into the sink.

If this is a new install on a new sink, I recommend the EZ mount model. If there is already the sink drain (thing mentioned above) labeled insinkerator, you may be able to simply attach the new disposal to the existing drain ring.

Also: If you have a dishwasher to connect, this is a great time to install the "air gap valve" (available for almost free at any hardware store.)
