You have to reset waste ink counter using MP Tool. Try to find at indoreset.blogspot.com. Or you can do it manually. Try this. 1. Unplug power 2. Press and hold ON/OFF button 3. Press and release Stop/reset button 4. Release ON/OFF 5. Press Stop/reset 4 times Turn off printer and turn on.

My Canon Pixma MP 170 tells methe waste ink absorber is full...

It is a shop repair since you have to use Canon diagnostics to reset the count and clear the error. The new part is around $10.00 only.

WASTE INK ABSORBA FULL

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.

I can,t find out how i can tell my comp I have reloaded new ink

Just press the resume button for about 5 seconds if your printer doesn't print. It's ok if the monitor tell you that the ink empty, its just about the ink catridge counter
