Question about Panasonic PT-47WX53 47" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Same as other problem.

My TV does the same as the other. When I try to power on it makes clicking noise and then it clicks again followed by five blinks of the red light. Do you have any idea what parts could be bad? How much on estimate would it cost to fix? Thanks

Re: Same as other problem.

Check in the deflection area for example vertical output transistor, fly back, Yoke,

If every thing ok in the deflection area, the convergence Ics could be bad.

Good luck.

The clicking you hear is probably caused by a relay that controls the incoming AC to the main power supply. This is a protective reaction to a problem in the power supply itself or an overload due to a failure downstream from the supply. This is not a likely DIY repair. You will probably need a technician to determine which of these two likely problems it is.

I have a 57" mitsubishi

You probably have a bad lamp again I hate to say. These lamp are so critical when being moved. If after you atttempt to power on TV then red light shows, press menu+input on the front panel and hold for 5 seconds. Front timer LED will blink a 2 digit error code five times then stop. Code 34 and 66 are lamp errors, and if you read code 66 the lamp is broken. Good luck

TV needs lamp replacement as existing lamp got weak or has been reached to end of its working life, please note that lamp is not dead or broken so that is why lamp lit is not lit at tv front.

Mitsubishi VS-6041 60 in. doesn't power up

Hello Tremulant

This denotes a possible problem with the Low or high voltage power supplies. The clicking you here might be the shutdown circuit acting because of excessive draw of current. The problem will most likely be associated with the HV power supply, but you will have to have a qualified TV technician check your TV to make sure.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
