Question about Panasonic PT-47WX53 47" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Same as other problem.

My TV does the same as the other. When I try to power on it makes clicking noise and then it clicks again followed by five blinks of the red light. Do you have any idea what parts could be bad? How much on estimate would it cost to fix? Thanks

Check in the deflection area for example vertical output transistor, fly back, Yoke,

If every thing ok in the deflection area, the convergence Ics could be bad.

Good luck.

When powered on the tv makes a constant clicking sound

THe clicking noise is the relay on the PSB that allows AC to be sent to the psb. It won't hold in due to some fault either in a resetable link or some other safety component. To check this unplug the cord from the mains for an hour, then try again. You should hear the relay click once and then the TV will power on for a short period before powering off again. The solution is to replace the component, other than that replace the psb. I can't get a manual to prove this so I am just making an intelligent guess until I can prove it.

Will not power on, makes a click noise only

if you dont know take your tv to w/shop, let the tech test the output of that power supply.
he has to test the following, switch contacts, power transistor, diodes, and resistors less than 100 ohms.
your set will be okay again.
if you want it to be move perfect test capacitors as well, and change all electrolitic, on the power supply. this will make your tv stay longger and perfect.

RCA tv Making a clicking noise

This is a power supply problem it may be as simple as a blown fuse or as complex as a malfunctioning IHVT (Integrated High Voltage Transformer). Is it worth fixing, only you can answer that I would estimate the cost from $100.00 - $500.00 at least.
