Question about Gateway MX6447 Notebook
I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista. The free space available on drive C was 98.4 GB, after doing disk cleanup, scan hard drive and defragment; the free space size is reading 97.7 GB. Whereas I was thinking that this will increase. Can you please enlighten me on this?
The swept files are stored up in folders you might not see.
Run disk clean up and you will have more spaces wherein all temporary files will be deleted.

Remove temporary Internet files.
Remove downloaded program files (such as Microsoft ActiveX controls and Java applets).
Empty the Recycle Bin.

Remove optional Windows components that you don't use.
