HI my fridge freezer is frosting up then not cooling fridge properly...wanting find defrost swict to test problem...please help

- its a NEC model number FR 454..the freezer is at the top and fridge below...thanks for reply

Please tell me what kind of fridge (side by side ,top freezer or bottom freezer) and the model and serial number.

The defrost timer should be inside the refrigerator where the cold control is.
