What these three lights for, in th Microsoft ireless Optical desktop receiver Model 1028
I do not know if you got your answer yet, but the 3 lights on the reciever unit indicate the following:
light on the left (under the "A" indicates that your caps lock is on
light in the middle (under the "1" indicates that your numbers lock is on
light on the right (under the semi-circle with verticle hash mark) indicates the power is on
