Hello, if the message add paper related with specific paper size i.e. add A4 paper in drawer, first you need to check is the paper senzor in drawer set to correct paper size - it is blue circle with markins of paper size. Second thing under printer driver properties on PC check if the correct paper size is choosen.
This means that your machine has received a print job that is teling it to print on paper that is loaded or supposed to be loaded in the bypass feed tray. You will either need to delete the print job using the operation panel or simple load some letter size paper in the bypass tray over on the right side of the machine.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
Two ways. The First, you should consider the condition of the sensor of the output block. He can be conks or falls out, sticks. Possible correct the tweezers, however better apply to service. If he faulty, follows its change. Can try. Good luck!

open the rear access door and clean the rollers with a cloth, dam it with little water and unplug the machine and press and hold the ON button for 1 min and release the button and plug in the power cord, it should resolve the issue.
At the head you said 'paper thickness position'and then you seems to have ignored that and did all the other things.
Is there an adjustment for paper thickness, a lever perhaps.
It does seem to be with the paper feed or paper presence detection.
Take a look around, is there something stuck in the paper feed track?
Can you have pass a piece of paper through without it rucking up?
Do these things see what happens
