If you have Windows XP:
Right after you turn the computer on, start repeatedly tapping on the F8 key on your keyboard until you get a menu screen with the Choices: Safe Mode, Safe Mode With Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, etc.
Use the arrow keys on the keyboard and highlight and select Safe Mode and hit enter. You computer will boot into safe mode and take you to the WIndows Welcome screen where you will see your account listed and an Administrator Account
Choose the Administrator account (Hopefully no one ever set a password on it). Then go to:
Control Panel > User Accounts > Select your account and choose to remove password or change password. Then click Start and log off and try to log into your account with the new password you created.
If you have WIndows Vista, and you did not create a password reset disk, then you will have to format and reinstall Windows.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
