There are three versions of the Acer Aspire One.
Look on the bottom of your Acer, and see which model number it is.

ALL of the Acer Aspire One netbooks, have One ram slot.

For the Maximum TOTAL Amount of ram that each model number will use,

The A110 model number uses a 1GB stick, of PC2-5300 SO-DIMM ram module.

The D150 model number uses a 2GB stick of PC2-5300 SO-DIMM ram module.

The D250 model number uses a 2GB stick of PC2-5300 SO-DIMM ram module.

Not to offend, to help.
If you are not familiar, with what a SO-DIMM style of ram module is, and/or you are not familiar with what PC2-5300 is, I suggest you buy your ram from Crucial.com

How to install 2gb ram in acer aspire one D270-1375

Turn off power and remove battery pack and make sure it is not plugged in. Remove screws from back panel exposing RAM ports. There will be two spring clips that can pushed out to release the ram modules. Remove the old RAM modules and insert the new Ram modules in reverse order and assemble netbook. Power Up and enjoy.

Note book blue screen and report some type of error

This is BSOD short for Blue Screen Of Death, it is usually is a RAM or driver problem. Claim warranty support if available. If your notebook is out of warranty do the following:

Remove the screws that secure the RAM access panel.
Remove the RAM modules and clean the gold fingered connectors with tissue paper.

Now reinstall the modules in the correct orientation. Attention to the cut-out in the module for allignment.
Secure the RAM access cover with the screws and power on.

If it still gives you problems install the graphics driver for your notebook. Visit the Acer website and click their support button. Then select Netbook, then Aspire, then One Netbook, then click confirm. Download and install the graphics driver, latest one only.

Heat is another factor that pertains to BSOD, overheating of the Graphics card, RAM or Processor can also cause this error. Be sure to allow air into your Netbook. Try not to obstruct the intake and exhaust vents.

Take care!

Acer aspire one slow running on skype video

That system is upgradeable to 2 GB DDR2 RAM (one stick) which would probably help, but if not there's really nothing else upgradeable in that system. Going with the current costs of RAM (when shopping online, like at newegg or zipzoomfly) it would be worth it to upgrade it just to give it a try and see if that does help.

Does not power on.

HI there, try these. Remove the Battery and try to On your laptop by direct power cord. If the same then there is a chance of motherbord/ smps/ ram damaged. There is no reset button for solve the problem.Thanks.
