Red RAZR hi, I have a red razr (I think their usually only for cingular) and my carrier is tmobile. The language in my phone is set on English, and everything IS in English, besides for when I want to put in names in my phonebook, the letters come up in an Asian dialog. How do I fix this?

you will need to unlock it first if its unlocked take it to tmobile and they will program it for you

You will need contact t-mobile to get the subsidy unlock code to use your phone internationally or on another wireless carrier. They can walk you through how to enter the code in properly. It is free of charge.

Just go to Meniu principal (main meniu) select Configuración (settings) click SELECCIONAR (select) then scroll down to CONFIGURACIóN INICIAL (initial setup) click SELECCIONAR (select) again and then scroll down to IDIOMA (language) and from there select english, thats it.(Or just go to the Motorola web site and download the full manual and used icons shown there to get where you wanted to go. )

Your service center number may be wrong in the phone. Call T-Mobile and ask for the service center number. You should be able to find it in your text messaghing settings. If it is rong (since it varies between carriers) it will stop text messages from going out.
You may also want to try your sim in a tmobbile phone and see if you can send text. Might be a problem on the network, not just with your cingular phone.

you have to goto the service centre of this product thenthey will flash your phone and will put Tmobile software (if you are lucky)

My phone is a motorola razr that was orginally on tmobile and I unlocked it for cingular use. I cannot download messages either, it gives me the same message. If your phone is from one carrier and being used on another, you won't be able to access picture messages. It uses the internet feature to download the message and cannot access the internet on a different carrier.

If this is not the case I do not know.

i think you are on a i-tap mode on your sms setting. try fixing it on the sms setting

If you have the mini usb i may have the tools soft for it.
But it will only work on Bootloader version 8.26 and below.
To find out what boot load version is your phone, just press # * @ the same time while pressing the power button.
If your bootload is the one above or below the email me for the software. but only if you have the mini usb cable.
The software will flash the the phone unlock it and then you can put what ever carrier software you may want.

If the Phone is Tmobile it will naot let you access the cingular browser because the phone setting for IP address is Tmobile. Use cingular setting and try again. Good luck
