I need a replacement for my tv dvd drive motor jq24-18h Can anyone tell me where to get one or a replacement that will do

If in fact the motor is faulty (which would then include other parts like sensors etc.) it would not be worth the time, effort and parts to replace the motor of the DVD drive. If you can replace the entire drive itself (like some of the type that come in the slim ff laptops) it would be worth it (quick, cheap (if you have the notebook DVD drive) relatively easy. If there is a USB port or RCA inputs you might be able to use an external DVD drive to replace the faulty internal device. Again prices, time and effort need to be considered (unless of course you would like the learning experience).

Dvd players don,t use (Heads) They have a (Lazer) Eye, The tray was probally Knocked out of (Alighnment) End needs to be Adjusted.Or with Haier from my expierance with there stuff,Its like a (Disspossiblle) Liter or (Flashlight) Once they Quit working fire it, The drive motors in there (DVD) Players don,t last to long.,I have seen some only a month old where the drive motor burnt out on them.

The tray needs a new motor with a new pulley that does not slip on its shaft and get a new belt too.
It is easy to pull the dvd tray unit out of a GO VIDEO DVD+VCR machine to replace the motor with new pulley on it and the belt should be renewed too.The motor NOW may run only to push out the tray but it will not pull it in to LOAD the DVD or CD.
This is what I found after troble-shooting the function.

The failure rate on these Technika products is shocking.
My in-laws had a 19" which gave up completely just after the warranty ran out: power supply probably.

Our 15" TV/DVD now has a DVD drive failure. Just outside warranty, and on ours we hear several loud clicks.
Inspecting the slot at the side tells us that the DVD isn't spinning.

If you're lucky it's just the lens that needs cleaning, and you could use a cleaner DVD if you can get it spinning.

Or maybe it's the motor that's failed, or maybe the bearings have seized, or there's dust in there that's preventing the motor turning.

Who knows. These things are evidently not built to last. I'll not buy another.

You can install the CDRW on a free IDE channel (which is not being used by any devices) and there is no need of using a jumper in this case.

i have connect a phillips dvd hard drive to my plasma by the componet cables and i get the sound but no picture can anyone tell what i am doing wrong

Maybe the flat cable from the lens assembly going to the PCB is at fault, try to replace it.

probably the eject motor is non-functional.the tv can be opened and the dvd removed manually without affecting the tv section. the problem can be fixed by replacing the motor.

hi the removel of the dvd drive is easy as taking out the battry 1. Remove the battery from the bottom of the laptop 2. Make sure the laptop is NOT plugged in. 3. There is a release button for the CD/DVD ROM drive on the bottom of the laptop, simply press and hold the release switch and pull the CD/DVD drive out. replace it with your new 1 good luck
