I can record picture but no sound on my DvCAM Sony 3CCD 12X camera

The latest DVD recorders are able to use Firewire I have one from Lite-On that has a firewire input and was very cheap so you dont have to spend a fortune to get quality.

Seems video head is clogged/ dirty, requires cleaning.
Take camera to nearest Sony service center for special head cleaning calls Lapping.
