Dryer stopped in the middle of a cycle. Time kept going, drum and motor stopped. Unplugged dryer, check lint and exhaust hose for build up. Plugged dryer back in, when I select time and hit start, dryer...

The motor tripped..The wiring diagram for the dryer is inside the back cover tie-wrapped to the frame as it sounds like the motor has a trip on it:
To reset the switch unplug the dryer, remove the power cable and back cover completely. two screws holding back cover are under the top cover which is held on with two screws at the rear. Remove the screws then pull top cover back and then lift it off. Remove last two screws and take off the full back cover . On the front of the motor you should see two white wires going into the safety switch for the belt breaking. Push the button on the left to reset the switch (you probably will hear a click) Do not push the right button as that is what got tripped originally . Good Luck Tim

Dryer won't start

Some dryers now come with a lot of electronics to run them and with electronics and heat, they don't like each other.
The click you hear is a relay switch on a board inside on or near a power board simular to a tiny computer,
Rplace that board.
Now to know which board is another question,
With the power removed (unplugged) disassemble the top part or the back of the dryer. When inside follow the main wires from the plug and see if it meets a electronic board. It could be or maybe burnt. That is you main power board, take it to an appliance shop to replace it
Take along your model# of your dryer
Happy drying

Hi fixya. I solved the problem myself, it was pretty easy. I just unplugged the power; let it sit for a minute; plugged the power back in; then I opened the dryer door and while manually holding down the door switch, I manually spun the dryer drum and simultaneously my son hit the start switch - you need three hands to perform this procedure - and it started running! Then I let it run for at least an hour, and ever since that it has started perfectly well.

Dryer is not drying the clothes

I had the same problem that I just fixed. I removed the serial cable weeks ago. Unplugged and plugged cord to reset computer glitches. If this does not work. UNPLUG cord, remove the terminal block cover for cord connections. With a AC volt meter and plastic kitchen gloves, plug in, turn on dryer and check voltage. Red to Black 240+/- 6 volts. Those terminals to center 120+/- 3 volts. UNPLUG CORD if good voltage. With dryer de-energized you won't need kitchen gloves. Next take out 4 screws that hold Back-splash, lift and tilt forward. There is a wiring diagram inside. Plug and unplug each cord one at a time. Take care to not to bend prongs. My problem was a parallel cable that had a bad connection. Unplugging it and plugging it back in was all it took to fix the problem. Good Luck.
