If you are starting over again, then you might as well do the same with the router.
Perform a factory reset. With a pen hold in the reset button next t the power jack whilst you plug the power back in. Wait for 10 seconds, that should get you back to a factory setting, log back in 192.168.1.1, User: (blank) Password: admin.
