Question about LG RU-42PX10 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
It doesnt matter its new or old...when you hear that popping sound...your money is gone...THIS IS LG PLASMA TV. there is no help or support available..no service manual available...only solution is to take it to any service technician...paying almost half of the price of the TV. so buy a new one and dont think of LG again.
Bad experience as well with LG 50" plasma.
I purchased this TV brand new, the TV arrived, and it has a great picture, and lots of nice features, particularly on the inputs.
Unfortunately 9 days after the TV was set up in my home, the panel completely went out, no menus nothing. Being a patient reasonable guy, I called the retailer and then LG support. After 3 visits from the LG approved flunky repair guy, where he changed a part, "had to order a new part," then that didn't fix it, try again! Sadly incompetent. The third time he says the panel has to be replaced. At this point every part inside the TV has been changed! My call to LG to ask for compensation for their crappy quality and service feel on deaf ears. LG does not care about making customers happy, or quality control, apparently. 3 weeks without the TV I paid for, LG says take it back to the store. Maybe yours will work, but I would not trust LG as a company, they are poorly run at best.
I am returning the TV, and will not buy another LG product....ever.

I agree do not buy LG I have had a horrible time with this bad bad bad company. I have a 90 day old what they call a $3000 60" plasma thant has been broke now a month, with all kinds of idiots who cant seem to fix it. LG wont help keep send more fools out to "FIX IT" which never seems to happen. I mean this was not a walmart special tv it was their top of the line plasma flagship lg60pk950. Customer service is a joke, wait times are on the average of 30-60 minutes when you call and they lie to you. Everytime you call you get a different story. RUN as fast as you can away from any LG product

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
