When the software that lets your computer communicate with your PDA acts up, always check the cables and connections first. Is the USB (Universal Serial Bus) or serial cable connected securely to the PDA (or cradle) and the PC? Is the PDA seated properly in its cradle if it uses one? If everything is in place, visit the palmOne (www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads) or Windows Mobile (www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile) Web site and download the latest version of the HotSync or ActiveSync software that is compatible with your PDA and your computer's OS. Keeping synchronization software up-to-date is important because newer versions fix compatibility problems and usually add new features.

If you have a Palm OS PDA that uses a USB connection, sometimes incompatibilities exist between Windows and the software that you can resolve only by running a special USB utility found at the PalmOne download site mentioned previously. Select your hardware from the drop-down list and click the USB Registry Utility link. Download the USBRegClean.exe file, navigate to the downloaded file, and double-click the icon to install it. Reboot your computer and reinstall the Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager.

if you downloaded the pda onto the psp then that is why.
psp's do not read the format pda however there are programes you
can get for your pc/laptop that can, so put it on your computer.

if downloading via pc,use a download manager to get it (jdownloader is a great program for that) just copy the link,let the program get it and click continue with all to get the program error free.its a matter of transferring it then to your pda

Which phone/PDA are you using? Please let us know the exact make and model so that we may provide the link to the software that can synchronize your PDA with the computer. You will also find the software in the disc that came along with your PDA, just install the disc, connect the PDA to the computer and then you can transfer the pics, music etc.

Most PDA's have a software disk that should be installed before plugging in to the computer. Is the PDA windows based? If yes you will also need to download Microsoft Activesync for free from Microsoft Site. ActiveSync is used to sync the contacts, emails, etc between your desktop / laptop and your device.
