SOURCE: Audio Amplifier JVC Model A-GX3

If the service manual is not available on the JVC websites then you should just Google search "JVC A-GX3 service manual" There are many websites that archive manuals. You'll probably have to pay for a copy. Why can't you disassemble the unit and see the output transistor numbers first? More importantly how do you know this is the fault?

SOURCE: panasonic surround sound system model # sa-ht95

Error code ' F61 ' on most Panasonic models indicate that the built-in diagnostics has sensed a fault at the output stage. This would normally refer to a failed output amplifier IC (?P/N RSN704D66P?). In some instances, the fault could also be triggered by:

  • strands of Speaker wires inadvertently touching each other;
  • faulty speakers;
  • failed Cooling Fan of the output IC.

Options then are:
  • consider a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair only if familiar with electronic components & circuitry, use of a DVM/VOM and a soldering iron. Access to a Service manual would be an advanatge;
  • seek the services of an authorized service center specially if the unit is still under warranty;
  • consider other options based on downtime, cost of repair, parts of availability, age of unit and prices of comparable but newer models.

Good luck

I just picked up a Technics SA-E570 WITHOUT AN AMP IC. Does anyone know the amp IC in this machine?

Are you sure that model number is correct? It looks like they should have 4 numbers.

Panasonic sa-he7,no sound from sub output,im using a samsung subwoofer of impedance 6

Have you looked at the manuals?

If the unspecified sub isn't self-amplified it won't work with this receiver.

If it IS self-amplified you still needt o set up the receiver to run a sub.

Replacing a Surround Sound System Receiver

the difference is the "same speaker connections"
the front and rear will connect the same but the subwoofer is amplified by the HT75 , and the HE75 does not have an internal amp for the subwoofer speaker , only a "pre output"(has to be amplified)

Panasonic SA-HT 955 Home Theatre System

The F61 is the shorthand for protect mode. This indicates a problem with the output amplifier section. I don't have a listing for your specific model, but a similar one HT95 lists IC501 as the output amp chip. Check for the marking on the large black IC attached to the heatsink it may be RSN311W. If so, this can be ordered using part number: RSN311W64D-P for $95.20 from tritronicsinc.com.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Panasonic SA-HT940

F61 is a problem with the output amplifier pac. It is the equivalent of "protect" mode. The output pac needs to be replaced. I'll look up the part number for you.
