Green and white from the oven go together and connect to the copper from the box, red goes to white and black to black. Be sure that it's 220 breaker your connecting to, for an oven it should be a 40 amp breaker, sometimes thirty

Fisher Paykel OD302 double wall oven. Exhaust fan assembly (vent fan) wiring.

get an electrician in to fix it
the red wire is normally the active (power wire) and the blue is the neutral wire
if you fit the blue to a red terminal then you could be dead, blow the circuit or blow a circuit breaker
be safe call an electrician

We recently moved and now the oven and stove temp does not go as high as it is supposed to....we had to put in a 220 line as there was only a gas line ......

You say you put in a 220 volt line, I'm afraid it must be miswired. If you did this yourself, carefully check your work., particularly where you wired into the breaker box. When wiring, Black and Red both go to the double-pole breaker, white to the neutral buss, and green to the ground buss. The wire used should have these colors and be 10ga. or larger. Or consult an electrician

I am trying to replace a electric baseboard heater that is 220 volts and I am unsure about the wiring. the heater has a red and black wire and there is a white and black wire coming out of the wall. How do...

if you have a electric meter check the voltage coming out of the wall to be sure it is 220 v???? (meter across black and white)then with your meter only test black wire to ground and white wire to ground seperately you should have 110 from each wire to ground?
If you have only 110 to the black and no reading on the white, you either have a bad breaker or a 110v circuit
If you read 220v and you new heater is rated for 220v black to black and red to white wall thermostat or built in as long as you have 220v to your connection from the wall or your wall thermostat when turned higher than room temp.
Bare grounds tie together and mount to your green ground screw

Trying to install a 30 amp breaker into a ge powermark gold 200

Hello, First, you need to determine if you are installing a 220 or 110 vac circuit breaker. The 220 is a "double pole" and will have (on the underside) 2 tabs for each 110 phase on your breaker box. It will also usually have a double switch tied together. A single or 110 breaker will just mount to one of the "hot bars" on the breaker box. Again, look at the underside of the breaker. Just remember you need 2 wires (usually a black and a red) for 220 and only one wire (usually black) for a 110 single. The neutral shouls tie to the neutral bar on the box (where all the white wires are connectoed to)

Of course, use extreme caution and insulating gloves when working on a circuit breaker.

Hope this helps and good luck with it. Gary

Ge double oven - both ovens stopped heating gradually

My first thought is the power supply to the unit.  Cut the breakers and inspect all connections from the fuse box to the oven.  You will likely find open connections or corrosion.  One breaker could also be bad.  Check the voltage with appropriate caution and a voltmeter.  Breakers should respond with a snap when turned on.
Note: there are two breakers which control the oven: one with a red wire, the other is black.  Each provides 110 volts to the oven in combination with the white neutral.  Together, the black and red give you 220.  If one of the circuits is out or in poor condition, the bulbs might not work and the oven won't either.
