Question about HP PhotoSmart P1000 InkJet Printer

Stuck on "all photos option

I have a photosmart P1000 printer and I somehow pushed a wrong button and I cannot figure out how to get back to regular printing options....I do not want to print photos from a flash card...I just want to print a document. I have tried everything I can to get back to where I was....can you help me please?

I have hit cancel so many times I'm surprised the button still works....I send documents to it but it says there is a pending job but that there is no flash card inserted....How on earth do I undo whatever it is I did?

yes, I have pulled the power cord and usb connnection....I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it....when I turned it back on....the screen is showing all photos....this happened to me a couple of years ago but I got it canceled....it kept asking me for a flash card so I took a couple pictures on one and inserted it and asked for the index print hoping that it might take care of it....didn't work...this is really frustrating...I need to print some documents....Thanks for the suggestions and if you have any others I sure would appreciate it.

Amazing - I finally got it to clear - but it wasn't easy.....uninstalled again and reinstalled....I can finally print a regular document again....I must find myself a new printer....I think I have about wore this one out....

Hp c6180 won't print from 4x6 photo paper tray

If you put regular paper in the tray as it is asking does the printer use the regular paper to print the picture? If so, be sure the 4x6 photo paper tray (with photo paper) is pushed all the way in, and when you select print there should be an option (probably hidden in a submenu) to select the photo tray as the paper source. If you are printing from Adobe Acrobat, I have not found a reliable way to get the c6180 to use the photo paper tray. I hope this helps.

Paper jams using nextech premium photo pape gloss finish

  1. Before you do anything else, turn the printer off and on by following these steps:
    1. Turn off the printer by pressing the Power button.
    2. If the optional HP Photosmart Internal Battery is not installed in the printer, unplug the printer power cord. Wait about 10 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
    3. If the optional HP Photosmart Internal Battery is installed in the printer, unplug the printer power cord, if it is plugged in. Open the battery compartment cover and remove the battery. Wait about 10 seconds, then reinstall the battery. If desired, plug in the power cord.
    4. Turn on the printer. The printer checks for paper in the paper path and will automatically eject the jammed paper. Press OK to continue.
If the error still occurs, go on to the next step.
  2. If the paper came part way through the front of the printer, gently pull the paper towards you to remove it.
  3. If the paper did not come part way through the front of the printer, try removing it from the back of the printer:
    1. Remove the paper from the In tray, then push in the catches to release the in tray. Figure 1: In tray catches c00256377.jpg
    2. Open the In tray to a horizontal position.
    3. Gently pull the jammed paper to remove it from the back of the printer.
    4. Before you lift the In tray to close it, make sure it is pushed all the way to the right on its hinges. Figure 2: Pushing the tray to the right before closing c00256378.jpg
    5. Lift the In tray up until it snaps back into paper-loading position.
  4. Open and close the pen door on the front of the printer to make sure it is securely latched. Figure 3: Opening and closing the pen door c00269435.gif
How to avoid paper jams
  • Make sure that the cartridge door on the front of the printer is securely closed.
  • If you experience paper jams while printing, try loading one sheet of photo paper at a time. Insert the paper as far as it will go into the In tray.
  • Do not add paper while the unit is printing.
  • Do not use paper that is too thin, too slick, or that stretches.
  • Do not use torn or creased paper. Paper that has been printed previously may cause jams.

HP c6280 Won't load ink cartridges

Per HP:
Hold “print photos” button and “red-eye removal” buttons together, release
ø Then press the “red-eye removal” button, release
ø Then press the “print photos” button, release
ø Then press “red-eye removal, release

ø Scroll to “resets menu”, click ok to select
ø Scroll to “Options” semi-full reset, ok

The printer then powers off and wait a couple of minutes. I believe the printer turns back on (or maybe the user needs to power back on after a few minutes). The refills then work.
