Drain is stopped up or the refrigerator is not defrosting. Look inside the fresh food compartment near the control panel or below control panel for a small hole that you can put a pencil in and turn the defrost timer clockwise until refrigerator stops and remain stopped for about 20 minutes. Need also after you do this let me know so we can go from here, Thanks Sea Breeze

Replace fan motor

Hello Theresa;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

You did not provide a model number which is located on a label on the upper liner side wall in your fresh food section. So, I do not know what you have.

There are several reasons your fresh food section is not cooling:

1.) Cooling air vent from freezer to fresh food section. Find the air vent, put your hand in front of it, do you feel any air flow? This vent may be iced up or closed.
2.) Freezer cooling coils iced up - Look at the back wall of your freezer, is there frost or ice on the wall? You may have a bad defrost heater.
3.) Cooling coil fan - Open the freezer door do you hear the fan? Push in on the light switch, do you hear the fan?

Get back to me.

The meat and veg drawers freeze the meat and veggies no matter what setting the temp. is on.

Freezing meat,vegetables. Problem with damper.

For this problem, its indicating towards problem with damper assembly.----------

The working procedure of this unit is as follows: --- The compressor starts then it cools the freezer section. When the freezer reaches its cooling level the defrost cycle starts functioning. In this cycle the fan in the freezer section starts running and the cool air in the freezer section is passed to the fridge section and the fridge section gets cold. The air from freezer to refrigerator passes from the section, in that section the damper is located. ----------- The damper is operated by a motor. Its a complete damper assembly with motor included in it.--The damper has door.Which closes and open with the help of motor. In your case the damper door is remained open, its not closing.Due to this the cool air from freezer section is running in to fridge section non-stop.Due to this the vegetables and other food in the bottom drawer freezing.--------- In this problem the damper assembly needs to be replaced.---------------

You can get required parts from online sites like: --- www.repairclinic.com or from searspartsdirect online site.

----------- This should help. Thanks.Helpmech.

MODEL BG2OTW, FREEZER IS WORKING BUT THE UPPER SECTION IS NOT COOLING

This is a common question here.... The most common solutions are that either the fan has stopped working or the defrost is not working and the ice build up stops the fan.
First unplug the refrigerator for 12 hours or so to see if there is ice build up that is stopping the fan. If the fan works when you plug it back in then find out why the ice is building up. Ususally it is because the defrost timer has gone bad.
If the fan still does not work then most likely the fan has gone bad. You will need to replace the fan.
The fan blows a portion of the cold air from the freezer side. If the air is not forced oover to the refrigerator side. the freezer is great but the refrigerator is warm.
Hope this helps you understand what is happening and ultimately solves your problem for you!!

Water-on-bottom-of-veg-bens -cleaned-tube-drain-but=still-same-water-still-goes--to-bottom-of-veg-bens. donald-clemente.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help. Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Ice maker does not stop working and overfills, then ice dispenser does not work and pushes door open.

Continuous ice production, too much ice in the bucket, ice cubes overflowing the bucket, ice cubes falling behind the bucket or ice lifting the chiller shelf can now be resolved by installing a redesigned feeler arm. The new arm is designed with a slight curve to cycle the icemaker “OFF“ before the cubes overflow the ice bucket. Order part number WR49X10103.
