How do i take apart my lasko cyclone fan to clean the inside of it

You may need to UNSCREW the front half of you fan guard plastic casing or depress it in a few place if you see notches on the cage itself. Remember the knobs you will be removing to take the blades off to clean will be threaded opposite, one will screw off and on clockwise then other counter clockwise. Be sure FAN is UNPLUGGED BEFORE YOU open it up. Lay all parts in bathtub, Spray with Cleaning foam, pour lots of water over to clean all sides, then let drain and dry in bathtub. Less muss and fess this way!

DO NOT REMOVE SCREWS OR TAKE APART.!!

according to what i have read because it is an ion fan it may damage it. i tried the canned air. not strong enough. i looked on u tube and tried what i found. get a leaf blower. yeah it works!!! i tried to put my foot on the bottom to hold it, i needed a bigger foot. ;-) the fan blew over. i had my son hold it and you should have seen all the dust that was in that thing!!.

What type of screw driver do u use for a lasko 2543 tower fan? I would like to clean it and have never seen screws like this.

You may need to check the owners manual. If you have lost the owners manual, you can download a new from this site for free: http://www.laskoproducts.com/?s=Manuals... Just type "Tower Fan" in the search box and browse through the results until you find your model.

How do i clean it ? Do I have to take it apart?

To clean it, you will need a small paint brush, screw driver either flat or crossed, then disassemble it.
Loosen the screw and just be observant what you put apart. Then clean it.
Good luck.

How do i take apart and clean my 2517 lasko t.f.

I took mine outside and hosed it down real good and then let it air dry for a day or 2. worked great! it was filthy!!! and that dang screw made it impossible for me to fully take it apart to clean it, so I decided it was either the hose or throw it away. mine was incredibly dusty and i was able to use a hose with a power nose and spray it really good. we'll see how long it works :)

Cleaning

Model E20739: The entire back comes off to expose the fan blades after removing two screws. Just unplug the unit. On the back of the unit near the top is a recess that acts as a carrying handle. In that area you will see two large silver-colored screws. Remove these, grasp the back of the unit and push down on it as you pull it away from the body of the fan. You may have to wiggle it around a little to free it.

Lasko 2535

Lasko 52" tower fan, model 2535, works fine but has the annoying loud 3 second beeeep when turned on/off, waking us up at night. Have been unable to get at the circuit board to investigate due to non-std screws (regular slot head but with a bump in middle of slot, so slot is filled in in middle of screw head, if you will)
Any thoughts on killing the beeeeping?
