Re: help installing speakers

Before tinkering with the unit, please check the manual that came with the product inside its box/packaging.Make sure that u have fully understood the instructions provided by the manufacturer. 1.Have you checked the power source at your house? 2.Does the product require voltage a specific voltage, 110V or 220V? 3.Have you checked if you have placed the connections inputs/outputs properly? 4.Another thing, have you tested the item before you bought and paid for it? If tested at the store, did it work? 5.Was it damaged during transport to your place? 6.Check also the warranty. Finally, call up the store because tinkering with it might void the product warranty.

What is wrong with my system? All plugs are in properly and volume is turned up. Blue light on front in lite.

If you're talking about speakers plugged into a Windows computer, then look in the lower right-hand corner near the time, and you should see a speaker icon. Right click that icon, and select "Open Volume Mixer" from the menu that pops up. On the mixer, make sure none of the volume levels are set to Mute.

If the levels look normal, try right-clicking on that speaker icon and selecting "Playback devices" from the menu that pops up. Do you see your speakers there? Is the green check mark on them? If not, click on the speaker, then click the "Set Default" button.

I used the left hand pad on the control unit to reduce the volume to nothing, and cannot get the level back up again. matthew

  1. Check the power connections on your speakers, make sure that the power LED's on the small speakers are lit.
  2. Make sure the green cable is connected to the computer's speaker port (Usually a green headphone-type jack) and also the the speaker- a similar type jack.
  3. Adjust system volume 2_6_2012_8_52_14_pm.png by clicking, drag volume slider bar up to about 75%, and release.
  4. Turn up speaker's volume using the volume (and bass volume) knob on the main speaker.
  5. Play an audio file. Note that if you are using Windows Media Player, etc. you may need to turn volume up there also.
  6. If you are still having trouble go to start/control panel and select sounds. This will show your installed audio devices. If there are no devices, then please provide the make model, etc. of your computer and I will go from there.
  7. Test the devices in another setting will help identify a hardware problem. For example, test your speakers with an MP3 player, or your computer's CD-ROM usually has a headphone jack; test the audio on your PC with a set of headphones, or another set of speakers. If either of these fail it may indicate a hardware problem. Feel free to post back any additional information and I will try to provide further help. Please include your make, model, and version of windows so I can provide specific info for your PC.
I found the following info on your speakers, which you may also find helpful:

I plugged in my speakers to Compaq Presiaro computer, and get no sound. New batteries are in, what should I look for? Do I need to download something for these to work?

Hello Debkopper, Hi!, No sound output can be several things. so lets do this one at a time. No sound means: 1. mute or low volume setting. check your volume controls. If you can find the volume controls, 2. look at the lower right side of your monitor, (if you are using Windows7 or xp) you should see a speaker ICON. click it and set the volume. If you have no speaker ICON, then 3. you need the driver software to activate the sound section of your PC. if you have the CD of the PC motherboard, use the CD to install the driver. IF you have a SOUND CARD, locate the CD that comes with it when you purchase it. If the sound card comes with your PC. locate its CD driver. 4. NO CD, then browse the internet to download the driver software. Here are info of what you need jot this down..... the motherboard make and model. (If sound card then the make and model) 5. After download install the driver.
IF you cannot find the driver or simply tired to find what it is, BUY a USB type SOUND CARD. plug it on a spare USB port, then your done, instant sound!!!

Very faint sound on everything, including system sounds. when playing a cd, can hear music, but not lead vocals except faintly. are the speakers shot? Everything was okay yesterday, and no settings have...

First of all, if you have volume controls on the keyboard, please make sure you turn the volume up from that location.

Next, locate the Speaker icon next to the time in the lower right corner of the screen. Double or single Click on that and make sure the volume slide bar is all the way to the top. If you don't have a speaker icon, roll over these icons slowly and an info bubble will pop up. Look for one that involves audio. If you right click on the icon, you may be able to select volume mixer or something similar, there you will find multiple volume settings, turn all up.

Finally, if you are having this problem when using a media player (Windows Media Player, VLC, Quicktime, etc), there will be a separate volume control within the player itself. They are usually a slide bar underneath the video or graphics display. Turn this up also.

Please note that if you are using a laptop, Laptop speakers are notoriously of poorer quality and lack the wattage of desktop speakers. In turn, it may not be a problem with your laptop2_bing.gif. You may need to look into purchasing an inexpensive set of external speakers.

No volume gateway

1. check the speaker icon in the task bar on the right of the screen and click on the "mixer to see if your "volume settings are set to the lowest point. Adjust the volume slide to the desired volume.
2. check the hardware under the "Device manager" to see if the drivers are properly installed. Go to the manufacturers sight (the knowledge base) to see if there is a troubleshooting guide for "no sound" and follow the steps.
3.This may also be due to the speakers have lost there ability to generate sound and the sound module needs to be replaced. It is hard to determine this here with out a physical look at the unit.
