How do you make lines appear on an excel sheet?

I'm not sure what Version you're using, so I'll assume after Excel 2010.
At the top of the page, under the Home tab and directly under the Font window, there is an icon which looks like a window frame (dotted all around except on the bottom edge).
In your spreadsheet you have to select the area you want to work on. You can select a single cell to add lines to or the whole spreadsheet. Click on the icon I described above and a menu box will pop down. There many choices which allow you to select lines on all sides of your work. I prefer the one at the bottom which says 'More Borders'. With that window you select the edges you want lines on, the thickness/type of the line, or put an outline.
I think that's enough for now and I hope that gets you started.

Add information to grayed columns

any greyed out area is a non accessible are
either the spread sheet your are using is not advanced enough or that area is read only requiring an administrator's authority to access it
suspect that it is read only and is not for editing
if you go google and type in -- user manual for excel spread sheet-- there is a pdf version ( around 900 pages ) which has everything you need to know for excel spreadsheets
a good publication if you spend lots of time in excel as it misses nothing

Software issue. Contact MS since HP will do nada for you since it is not a printer problem. Maybe your excel program is not really compatible with Win 7. Check it out.

My hp psc 1315 is not printing all the information from Excel spreadsheet. It appears to be dropping off information. Is this a printer problem or an excel problem

Have you looked at the pinter preview to see if the information is on there before you print. If the info has dropped off befor you print, this could be due to the wrong format size of the paper. Sometimes the printer prints out two sheets which you put side by side for full view.

Trying to print microsoft excel spreadsheet printer keeps saying load tray A4 both trays have paper whats going on

This isn't actually a problem with the printer, but with Excel's print preferences.

In Excel, select File->Print to bring up the print dialog.
Select your Dell 3100 if it's not the default, and then hit the Properties button just to the right of the printer name.
On the printer properties dialog, there's a field named "Paper size"
Click on that field and select "Letter (8.5 x 11 in)" You may have to scroll to find this selection.

Hit OK to close the printer properties dialog, then hit OK to print your worksheet.

If this helps, be sure to hit the "thumbs-up" for me!

When i print a PDFdocument made as an excel sheet , i mean with chart ,all that's writed inside is not printed. On Printed sheet you can just see an empty schedule. thanks

Why not convert the PDF to Excel and then print the Excel Spreadsheet? Nearly everybody know how to use excel and print the contents.
You can try AnyBizSoft PDF to Excel Converter which can help you transfer the tables of PDF into Excel as the original format. All the charts and data will be preserved.
Have a try and hope it helps.
