If the light won't blink, there could be problem with the power source. Do scanning hardisk for errors manually ( take off the hardisk from the case, assemble it on other PC Desktop)
what you should do is search for a driver for it so put the name of the usb then driver in a search engine and download and install a driver this should make the computer able to recognise the usb's software
VEO went out of business. They didnt release a driver for Vista and as far as I can tell know one has written one. I read a post that someone got their camera working in Vista using the XP driver but they couldnt remember how. did you try to plug it into all you usb ports? I know that I have had one that is loose in the front of my computer, try all your usb's in the back.

The data cables are diffrent look on ebay for the cameras model number and you will find the data cables their cheap. you could hurt your camera and or computer by using the wrong cable. hope this helps.
