Question about Televison & Video
Switch the TV to an RF input (like channel 3), preferably with a signal so the OSD is readable. Service mode will *usually* come up with other inputs as well, but an RF feed is a sure thing. After you're in service mode, you can try the Input button to see if the OSD is available on other inputs. I have found some options are off the screen in certain modes on certain sets and I must use other inputs.
With the TV off,
Press and hold the Input button on the front of the set, then simultaneously press and hold the power button. Continue this for 2 to 5 seconds then release both buttons. It's easy to hold the buttons too long or too short a time, which will cause the menu to not appear. Shut the set off and try it again.
