What is the model of the player? Most players do not need a driver when hooked to a pc. Windows will normally do a scan when you plug it into your pc and/ or open a window to the device in most cases. Some mp3 players have updates for firmware which maybe what you are looking for exactly. I would consider check Sylvania's website for this info. ... Ok so what is firmware and what does it do? Bob Newell. I know it's been a couple years since you posted this, but I have one of these TV's now, and am looking for that firmware upgrade. But I can't seem to find it at the Sylvania website. Is it still there, and if so, can you point me to the right location?

This is the driver specifically for the 8854 model but is backwards compatible with the 7634.

Here's the "manual" but it doesn't explain much or very well. One loads music (mp3, mwa or another I can't remember) files by connecting the player to a computer with the supplied usb cable (or any standard usb to usb mini connector) and the player is recognized by the computer (windows at least) as a flash drive. Videos are the same way, although we discovered that many avi videos did not play, only those we converted using the software on the small cd that came with the player. Oh yes, the first time we put something on the player and detached it from the computer, the player did not recognize it - not until we powered off the player and then turned it back on.

try reset on top of player if its acting up.
