Question about Projection Televisions
I also have a convergence issue, but I have looked inside for the Convergence Ic's and can't seem to identify them, in my case, it's the red that is off. I saw a module labeled as a13266 and I thought that was the module, but can't confirm. I was wondering if i am looking at the right part, or if If these IC's would under something or where they are?

STK392-110=CONVERGENCE IC USE TWO FOR REPLACECEMENT PART= WWW.bdent.com Product Details: The STK392-110 is a convergence correction circuit IC for video projectors. It incorporates three output amplifiers in a single package, making possible the construction of CRT horizontal and vertical convergence correction output circuits for each of the RGB colors using ust two hybrid ICs. The output circuit use a class-B configuration, in comparison with the STK392-010, realizing a more compact package and lower cost. www.partstore.com

The cheapest way is to replace both convergence Ics they are both STK392-110 and you can get replacements at the following link, and they provide free instalation instructions with pictures, plus free online instant messageing while you do the actual repair. Its a very easy repair. Here's the link.

SOURCE: where to buy a convergence ic
This link may help you with the convergence problem: http://home.earthlink.net/~oleg.filippov/ConvergenceFix.htm
You can just put the search "convergence ic" into EBay and get a list of sellers for the ic's.

SOURCE: JVC AV48WP30 convergence ic
I'm in the process of trying to replace both convergence IC's in my JVC also. I was able to buy both IC's (they look like black semi-rectangular components with 20 pins sticking out...like a computer chip only much bigger) at a TV repair shop for about $15 each. They were clearly labed STK392-110 (but could be 150 or 180 if you wanted to upgrade).

There are two 5 amp pico fuses on the same board as the IC the board location jmbers are f(A04 and F9A05 they are solid green and look like a resistor without color bands.
