Re: how to check bios update requirement

The problem lies on the board. Either you have memory issues or a faulty motherboard. The battery when it goes bad it does not let you turn on the laptop.

Hi, I am laptop engineer I have Sony VGN-CR363 Laptop problem is abnormal shut down without warring laptop will shut down please send the salutation.

When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a can of compressed air to do this.

My laptop got heatup

Please update the BIOS of the notebook and check if it works,
Also remove the battery and use the notebook on Ac Adapter power and check if it resolves the issue.
If not then you need to repair the notebook from service center.

Random shutdown problem

This is one of the common issues with the hp notebooks , actually what happens the vents are on the bottom pannel , of the notebook so if you do not use the chill mat , the notebook will get overheated . so i will recommend you not to keep the notebook on bed, or on the lap , because the vents are on the bottom pannel , also check the rubber feet of the notebook , if the issue persists i will recommend you to update the bios from the following website :-

You can also try updating the display drivers from the same website.

If the issue still persists , contact hp tech support (if the notebook is in warranty), tell them that the notebook is getting over heated and you are not able to touch it , they will take the notebook in for service.
I believe this will resolve your issue.

-try to update the BIOS, its also possible that your notebook is infected with malicious software. If you have a anti-virus system try to run a full scan. You can get the BIOS update from the website, go under support and drivers section. Select the see support and troublshooting information. Type in your product number. So you can get the updates specific for your notebook. Also check your operating system if it is a 32-bit or a 64-bit.

Slow graphics in gaming

Please make sure the video card driver is updated and also the Bios.
Make sure the ac adapter is connected to the system while you are doing the bios update.
Update these drivers
and let me know if it does not work.
Also please post the system requirements for your games so that I could check whether this laptop will be able to run these games.
Also would like to know do u have an integrated video card or a discrete video card. This is very important when you are trying to play games.

Thank you

My Acer Aspire 4315 Can't Shut Down Normally

That usually means a Windows problem (not hardware).

The best way to identify the issue is installing a fresh copy of Windows and all of the updates (I know is a lot of work) and see if still happening (i bet it won't)

Good luck!
