Question about Yamaha DSP-A3090 7-Channel Amplifier
My buddy gave me his Yamaha DSP-A3090 with out the remote. I hooked everything up and sent the monitor feed via s video cable. Eveidently I can't remove the on screen display from the monitor feed without the remote. I saw the remote is available for purchase @70.00.Any other solutions available?
You can try to find from a friend a neighbor maybe having a yamaha DSP A+ series. They all have the remote control almost iterchangeable. just press the display button. you have 3 modes, display always on, display show when you change function and then disappear or 3rd does not dsiplay anything even changing function. I wish we were neighbors, i have two of the same remote controls....

Check ebay for a remote. There are also several online dealers that sell replacement remotes. Do a search using "replacement remotes" and you'll find most of them. If you don't have the owners manual, I suggest getting one. It can probably be downloaded for free at Yamaha's website.
