Slow fan on Window Air conditioner Sears 106.73220

The fan Runs slow about half speed. The Fan motor turns free and will spin for 2 minutes after the power is off but the fan turns slow.
I figured it was the run Capacitor so replaced but only a tiny bit faster.
Since the new capacitor made very little difference I put the old one back and jumpered in the new on in Parrallel and if a tiny bit faster but still so slow the condenser would freeze up it I let it run a long time.
The fan motor has no brushes or anything like that so do not think it is a motor problem. Looking for a Schematic to help trouble shoot.
I will ohm out the motor but right now am suppecting the controls. When the problem first started it would be fine then slow way down then pick back up. The compresser runs good.
Any ideas??

If the motor seems like its getting extremely hot it could possibly be seezing up. i would suggest taking your volate reading for the motor and check for proper voltage, also check you amp draw on the motor. the proper amp draw should be on the name plat of the motor. any below the proper amp draw, replace the motor.

Check the capacitor for the fan motor. You can do that with a multimeter with the capacitor test function or if the capacitor looks swollen then it is probably bad. Also, make sure the fan rotates freely by hand. Let me know if you need more help.

Indoor air flow slow comiing

Have you checked your air filter(s)? Is the fan running? A weak capacitor will make a fan run slower sometimes. Also try turning the fan by hand while its off and make sure it spins freely. If its hard to turn you probably need a new fan motor.

Exhaust fan running slow

sounds like the compressor is turning off cause of high pressure. check the coil that the exhaust hose connects to, if dirty clean it. if the fan is not blowing enough air threw the coil the unit will build up high side pressure and cut out, but will turn back on when pressure drops. if that dont help, maybe the fan motor is bad or needs taken apart and oiled.

Fan slows to about half speed when heat cycle kicks in

The heat fan speed is slower than the cooling speed. About 300 rpm less.
You may not have a problem.

Fan motor in window ac/heat unit turns slow or not at all

Did you change the capacitor when you changed the fan? If you didn't you need to. And that capacitor is a dual one running the compressor and fan. So make a diagram of it what wires go where the area is real tight and some wires are the same color. You might make labels to be a little easier. Also get the same size capacitor when you change it.

Try turning the power off at the fuse box, waiting 5 minutes turning the system back on and spray some water on the vents on the side of the outside condenser. If the fan isnt spining get a twig and spin it in an anti-clockwise direction after 1 or 2 spins it should start spinning on its own. continue to hose the vents with water for another 5 minutes. Its important to have the fan spinning as it extracts the heat from the condenser box.

Fan Stops blowing air

Isthis a window unit? It sounds like it. There could be a problem with your fan switch or the fan motor itself? Multi-speed motors can lose one speed at a time. It really sounds like the fan motor is bad. If the compressor starts in the cool mode, and the fan doesn't, the fan motor could be locked up. See, if you can spin the motor by hand? If you can, then something is bad within the motor. Now, if the motor has a capacitor, check for a loose or burned wire. Good luck.

Fan motor slow on a/c

If the fan motor has a capicator it could be bad. A bad cap will pull the motor down. If there is no cap then the motor beatings could be going bad. this can be checked by matching the motor amps with the rated amps on the unit information tag.
