Problem with Tomtom GO (maps preloaded) GPS GPS Receiver
FOAM BACKED DISC
How am I to use the foam backed disc that is included in the package of the ZL-330 TomTom? I have not installed it in my car yet.

The disc in the package with TomTom is for mounting the unit on any flat surface on the dashboard instead of the windscreen glass. Stick the disc anywhere you choose on the dash and then use the normal suction (windscreen) mount on it.
There must be someone in the world that has found a use for this, but I don't know anyone that has.
Remember that any GPS system works better if it has clear "view" of the sats ! Why anyone would ever need to put the unit deeper inside the vehicle ( and therefore reduce the signal and also have it out of their line of sight ) is a mystery to me.
The disc seems to be a useless bit of extra kit.
