Phone worked fine until firday 9/21/07 - then showed a blue binaural headphone icon (not the bluetooth icon & not in the manual), wont let legit calls come in or out, but continues to redial ad nauseum the last number dialed. rebooted by taking out battery & sim card; reset today; blue icon is still there & it continues to redial last number.
The issue is caused by the phonejack/memory chip assembly, located in the upper right rear of the phone has become unseated/loose and is causing your issues. I had the same problem and after I took the phone apart and put the assembly back in position, I eliminated the problem.
If you are not mechanically inclined and/or have access to small tools and an open area to work in, do not attempt!!!! There are numerous small parts including the side buttons and keypad and the above mentioned assembly that are exposed when you seperate the two sections that make up the back of the phone. If you attempt the repair be extremely careful to note the position of parts before you take it apart and make sure they go back in correctly. It is a bit time consuming but doable.
If you feel you can't do it yourself I'm sure that there are some online options for repair or perhaps a local repair shop that would do the repair. Good Luck

Re: LG CU500 cell phone Call Divert Set problem
Check Menu 5>9>1 for the Call Forward settings.
Sounds like you have changed the Divert all calls option.
User Manual is here if you need it;
Best of Luck.
The solution suggested worked! Was quite simple if you have a small screw driver and are careful.
Before you do the multistep procedure below, you might try removing the battery, and microSD card (if you have one). If you stick a flat tool into the microSD slot and try to apply downward pressure to sandwich the slot against the rest of the phone you might be able to re-seat the daughter card without disassembling the phone. If that doesn't work - follow the steps below
I performed as follows:
Powered Off Phone and closed phone placing bottom up.
Removed battery, micro SD card, and SIM card
Using a sharp point, I removed the upper two rubber stoppers on either side of the camera (you can leave the one about 1cm down and in as it is for an external antenna.
Removed six screws (4 in compartment, 2 behind rubber plugs) with a small phillips screw driver.
Holding the phone with the back up, I slid my thumb nails up the sides starting at the charger connector to remove the back plastic cover. There are two snap connectors approx 1cm from the top and bottom of the phone.
I didn't have to remove the buttons for volume/camera.
After removing the plastic cover, I removed the smaller board with the female 2.5mm audio jack and cleaned the connector.
During reassembly, I was careful to try and guide the female headset jack into the plastic cover so as not to push too hard on the end of the smaller circuit board and recreate the loose connection again.
Everything snapped back together, I reseated screws and assembled phone and whella.
Solution posted by Golf4me was exactly right! It worked for me and was technical but not too difficult for savvy do-it-yourself'ers. To soniadee, the instruction to 'replace the part' does not mean buy a new one, it means remove the part and reseat it correctly. It has pins similar to a PC chip, but they are very short and do not lock in place well.
My son is having the same problem to the T....I even remove the phone jack/memory chip and still the icon was there. I see on here that someone name guybo4 posted a message on Jan 6,2008 and he said.... used the above solution by replacing the phone jack/memory chip and my phone works great!!!! Where would I buy the replacement part...

go on ur phone and go 2 bluetooth pairing. before u click pair, turn on ur headphones and hold the multi function( button w/ play button and phone symbols) button until flashes blue and red lights simultaneously. once flashing, enter and start bluetooth paring on ur phone. the code is 0000. enjoy using ur bluetooth.
all you gotta do is disconnect the device in the bluetooth menu and reconnect that way the lg shine will recognize the right ear piece. at&t wouldnt release a product if it didnt work. the only problem is that at&t didnt say it in there instruction booklet
From what I can tell and after researching the same issue it is the
KRZR. I called both Verizon tech support and my bluetooth tech support. There is no solution If
you notice some of the functions in the Blue tooth Pairing/connection
menu functions don't even work. (The on off for instance and the
settings) After it is paired. I tried my bluetooth with other phones
and it works fine. I am going to the Verizon store to complain untill i get a different model.
