Can't see the other party on MSN Messenger videoconferencing while seeing myself. Other party camera seem disconnected while they can see me and themselves, why? Same thing with the new Logitech webca
My parents have been experiencing some obs with their webcams. They bought a new one but when they connect to MSN Messenger for the videoconference, they see themselves but they don't see me. They said that it's like I have no webcam logo on it, but mine works fine(see both party), why?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

There are many messengers one can use on mac,and I am not clear which one you are referring to. I am therefore providing many answers about many ways you can message and videoconference on mac. msn messenger does not have video conferencing for macs.( I also searched for some time to discover this!) You can get msn messenger for mac (the download) but it does not include video chatting!! I am sure of this. There is also a download for Yahoo messenger for mac which includes videoconferencing http://messenger.yahoo.com/mac/, However, Skype is great for mac videoconferencing. (My favorite). Gmail also has something to download for videoconferencing also. http://www.google.com/chat/video. There is also Ichat for macs http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iChat/4.0/en/15610.html and this is the page with info about setting it up, and AIM. And here is a tutorial for ichat and AIM video conferencing: http://www.mvldesign.com/video_conference_tutorial.html. ...... However.... I personally love Skype. Download it at Skype.com, create user name and password and then invite contacts. To activate the cam go to Skype preferences on the top of the screen, choose video and check off Enable Skype video to see your friends and also check off Start Automatically if you want them to to see you (or you can click the icon for the video after you are on a call with them for them to see you only if you want to be seen on that one call!). If you find this answers your question I would so much appreciate a positive vote!

I had many problems with MSN Messenger several years ago (10) - I went to Yahoo and have not been disappointed at all - except if you have missed a notification (not in your email) online with Yahoo that your Messenger/IM has a newer update available, then it will not allow certain webcam activities with your chat buddy until you update.
Which ever Messenger or Skype you are using has to be setup in order to function. I'll assume
that you are using YAHOO MESSENGER and walk you through the setup. All
Messengers and Skype have an Audio & Video setup in them so the camera and
microphone work properly with their program.
Bring up Yahoo Messenger and on the top left click on MESSENGER.
Then click on "Messenger Preferences."
Next in Category click on "CALLIN & DEVICES."
When that comes up check and check to see that Microphone is set to your audio
Next insure that the speakers are set to you audio card.
Then go to "Test Audio"
In Blue "Open the call setup Assistant"
When the window opens follow the instructions. When finished your camera
audio should function properly.
Also you need to go to the Video setup and do the same so it will broadcast the pictures.
Hope this helps. Bud
you can launch the webcam using yahoo messenger, msn messnger,AOL messenger, skype, etc.. in order for other people to see you, you and the other person should be logged in to ex. yahoo messnger or aol messneger..in that way you will have an option on your end to start your webcam and the other party needs to click something like "view webcam" beside your username..
Hi, I am attempting to use the camera on ie as a video call problem is i can see a black screen. The camera is work as i can see myself on its software. I tried going to msn setting but have had no luck. it seems that the two the camera and ie
Toshiba laptops with built-in cameras tend to come with proprietary software that controls the camera. You're going to want to disable or turn this off prior to using the camera in an IM client.
Alternatively, since you seem to be having issues with Yahoo, consider trying Windows Live Messenger. Also previously known as MSN messenger, clients can now talk to people using Yahoo messenger. You might be able to have a video conversation that way, without having to deal with Yahoo.
First of all, have you verified you are using latest version of MSN messenger. If so and the problem still exists, give one of the other instant messengers a try, say like YM or AIM or any number of others.
What exactly do you mean by ' seems to work '?? Can you see yourself in the cam using whatever software other then MSN that you may have on your computer.
